Grigford has also entered the niche petrochemical sector with the
implementation
of the Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project (PDPP) for BPCL in
Kochi,
which includes the Acrylic (160 KTPA) and Acrylates (190 KTPA) units—the
first
of their kind in India—while the OXO-Alcohol unit (212 KTPA) is the
largest in
the country. The product slate from this project includes acrylic acid,
butyl
acrylate, 2-ethylhexyl acrylate, 2-ethyl hexanol, normal butanol, and
iso-butanol.
Additionally, Grigford is executing a groundbreaking project in the
petrochemical sector: the PDH-PP project for GAIL in Usar, Maharashtra,
which
will be India's inaugural propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant. This PDH
unit
will have a nameplate capacity of 500 KTPA, with propylene production
seamlessly
integrated into a polypropylene (PP) plant of equal capacity.
